Devabhaktuni “Sri” Srikrishna was the founder and Chief Technology Officer of Tropos Networks which builds metro-scale wireless broadband (Wi-Fi) systems based on cellular mesh technology and is deployed in several cities across the United States.
Tropos Networks creates Wi-Fi service across metro areas using predictive wireless routing technology. These networks are currently serving users in more than 750 cities worldwide including the first city-wide public access Wi-Fi network (Chaska, MN) and the largest outdoor Wi-Fi networks such as in Oklahoma City and Philadelphia. Applications of these unlicensed radio networks include police and public safety, municipal automation, smart grid, and public Wi-Fi access.
HIs publications have spanned quantum computing, parallel computing, wireless data communications, and nuclear detection.
He received a B.S. in mathematics from the California Institute of Technology and M.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
