- Anthrax, human & livestock - Zimbabwe (03) , ProMED-mail, 24 December 2000 -- The Herald, the national daily newspaper, published a front page report on 16 Dec 2000 stating that the ongoing outbreak in Mhondoro had caused 9 human and 44 cattle deaths, with 630 people treated for suspected anthrax symptoms and 4 hospitalised.
