UGANDA: More Ebola deaths in Mbarara

Two more deaths from Ebola fever have been reported in the southwestern
district of Mbarara, bringing the total number of deaths there to three,
the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported on Friday. The three cases
were diagnosed earlier this month, and a soldier who had visited the
northern town of Gulu, where the disease initially broke out, was the
first to die. The other two had been in contact with the soldier. So far,
there have been no other reported cases of the viral disease in Mbarara.
As of Friday, the latest figures issued by the Ugandan health ministry put
the total number of Ebola cases at 301 with 99 deaths, WHO said.
