Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever in Uganda - WHO Update 37

As of Tue 2 Jan 2001, the Ugandan Ministry of Health has reported the
following:
Gulu district: No new confirmed cases [or deaths] have been detected since
Fri 22 Dec 2000. The cumulative total number of cases remains 394 cases and
149 deaths.
Masindi district: No new confirmed cases [or deaths] have been reported
since Tue 19 Dec 2000. The cumulative total number of cases remains 27
cases and 19 deaths.
Active case finding and follow-up of contacts of suspected and confirmed
cases are continuing in both districts.
WHO recommends no special restrictions on travel or trade to or from Uganda.
