End of this report period: 1 March 2001.
New outbreaks:

Causal agent: FMD virus type O (O 1759/Mongolia/2001).
Control measures during reporting period:
- Quarantine and movement control inside the Dornod and Sukhebaatar provinces.
- Modified stamping-out policy.
- Vaccination of animals in the outbreak area at an interval of 14 days. Mass vaccination of all susceptible animals in Dornod and Sukhebaatar provinces has started.
