WAS SOVIET WEAPONS RESEARCH BEHIND FOOT-AND-MOUTH EPIDEMIC?
NTV reported on 5 May that workers at a scientific research
center in Kazakhstan say that biological weapons research
conducted there in Soviet times created a bacteriological
strain that could cause foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks
like those currently affecting cattle throughout Europe.
