- Yellow fever in Peru, World Health Organization, 07 June 2001 -- The Ministry of Health has reported an outbreak of yellow fever in the Department of Loreto, in the Peruvian Amazon Region, in the districts of Puinahua, San Pablo and Iquitos. Eight cases have been laboratory confirmed, of which 2 have died. Twelve additional cases are under investigation.

- Yellow fever in Côte d'Ivoire, World Health Organization, 31 May 2001 -- The Ministry of Health has reported 4 cases including 3 deaths in Danané and Duekoué districts in the south-western part of the country. Yellow fever has been confirmed by IgM detection in a sample collected on 23 March 2001 from a 17 year-old woman who died 24 March 2001. Testing was performed by the Instituts Pasteur, Abidjan and Paris. To date, no further cases have been reported.
