Both programs can be downloaded for free and usually have a 30 day trial. Once you've downloaded them and installed them into your computer, you can use either one to extract the zip file into a directory, then use the program from there. My personal preference is WinRAR, but either one are user friendly. There are other choices out there, but unless you enjoy using cryptic computer instructions, stick with WinZip or WinRAR. Cheers!
