It's just another sign of these frightening times that even he is ultimately cowed into acquiescence to imperial power while railing against it. His "solution" of having Congress to put lipstick on the NSA spying pig is frightening in its implications. But as Bob Barr just discovered at CPAC, the real conservatives are gone. Those left are a disreputable bunch who simply want to maintain and expand their power without regard to the cost to the law and the Constitution. Brownshirts indeed.
