Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I read Schopenhauer many years ago, I translated it as: "The World as Will and Proposition." Putting his anti-Semitism aside for a moment, that mistranslation has led to a misunderstanding of his intuitive grasp of metapsychology. Perhaps I should be addressing this comment to Bryan Magee. I am, sad to say, a former military intelligence officer of the Cuban Missile Crisis era. Not a soul above my level would believe my report of "Tactical Nukes" on the island during the planning for the invasion, that was forestalled by Jack Kennedy and RFK. I certainly hope that isn't contained in one of the declassified documents which have been re-classified! I was a happy man when JFK and RFK guessed correctly.
