i was both intrigued and appalled at the restricted access of the army aircraft recognition manual. that same information is undoubtedly contained in janes' all the world's aircraft, which has been for decades the definitive unclassified guide to, well, the world's aircraft. indeed, in my experience as a (former) marine aviator, janes' had more, and more accurate, data than official gov't manuals. this is just another example of the gov't restricting data that exists in the public domain, and is a latent threat to our democracy.
