A number of opinion pieces and letters have appeared in regional newspapers supporting the use of nuclear weapons in the ongoing conflict. Though these pieces may seem absurd, they could well increase Congressional support for developing a new generation of "bunker-buster" weapons and for possibly resuming nuclear testing to validate the designs. You can help restore sanity to this debate by writing letters to your local newspapers explaining the disastrous consequences of crossing the nuclear threshold.
