I have a few responses to your comments…
1st – MOST, but apparently not all MAC users, have a shallower learning curve and are able to recognize the signs that Melanie described. In my case, I looked around for something that said it worked on a Mac BEFORE I downloaded. Often, those who don't look before they download are just after free things. Also, have you ever heard of the expression "caveat emptor" – it essentially means that it is the downloader's responsibility to make sure he or she is getting the proper item. The manufacturer is not required to lead one by the hand – as restaurants now feel obligated to tell people that cups of coffee are hot!
2nd – This game is an excellent use of taxpayer dollars – much more so than so many other attack programs we fund. Our children need activities to engage their overactive minds and help them see the fun in learning.
There is no incompetence in creating a program only for a Microsoft platform. It is ubiquitous (that means everywhere and rules the roost, so to speak). And, I'm afraid that you are wrong about the number of Macs in schools. Some, but certainly nowhere near a majority, have Macs; they are usually in the art departments of colleges and high schools, or on one of the coasts.
Lastly, you really need to develop a way to complain/debate/whine/whatever without insulting people. I imagine that the people who run this site, and the scientists who created this game, are older and wiser than you. Have you never been taught respect and common courtesy? I could tell you what an ignorant, obnoxious, effete excuse for a human being you are, but what would that gain either of us? You would be angry and not listen to a thing that I'm saying; while I would suffer from the bad vibrations/karma/reaping what I sowed sort of thing. So, I would never be that mean or rude.
It would be nice if you would apologize to Melanie. She seems like a kind and patient woman.
Sincerely,
Linda
I am using Safari right now. I have had absolutely no problem viewing the trailer or doing anything else I want on this website. Perhaps, you are struggling because you have a steeper learning curve than most users.
