Recently, TSgt. Don Williams from the 301st Intelligence Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan, was notified he was selected by national-level authorities as the 1998 Ardisana (intelligence professional) award winner.

The Ardisana award is a world-wide competition among all services, military and civilian, and given to a single person who, through sustained and exceptional performance, was judged to be the best intelligence professional in the United States.

Brig. Gen. Stephen Wood, Misawa AB installation commander, summed up Williams’ accomplishment best, when he said, “Don is a true professional who sets the example for others to follow. It’s because of people like him that Misawa continues to be such a great place to live, work and play.”
