Lebras, Elliott trade assignments
Brig. Gen. Paul Lebras, AIA vice commander since June 1998, departs next month to become the vice director for intelligence for the Joint Staff and Vice Director for Intelligence, Defense Intelligence Agency, both in the Pentagon.
He will be succeeded by Brig. Gen. Carol Elliott, who comes to San Antonio from the Pentagon and the positions which Lebras will fill.
Elliott, a career intelligence officer, was commissioned at Lackland AFB, Texas, in 1973 and has served in a variety of intelligence positions around the world.
Her overseas assignments include duty in Thailand, the Philippines, Germany and South Korea. From January to July 1995, she led combined intelligence operations for NATO air operations over Bosnia as director of intelligence for the Combined Air Operations Center, Fifth Allied Tactical Air Force at Vincenza, Italy.
Her awards include the Legion of Merit, three Meritorious Service Medals, two Air Force Commendation Medals and the Air Force Achievement Medal. Cutlines
