MINIHAN

A former commander, from May 1993 to October 1994, Minihan was recognized for “leading AIA into the 21st century vision of information operations.”

He led the Air Force in developing the first Information Warfare Center in the Department of Defense and, as a result, the Air Force gained and maintains a several year lead in meeting critical responsibilities.

After departing AIA, the general became the Air Force’s assistant chief of staff for intelligence, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and, until he retired, the director of the National Security Agency.
