Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence

ODCSINT is responsible for policy formulation, planning, programming, budgeting, management, staff supervision, evaluation and oversight for intelligence activities of the Department of the Army. ODCSINT has ARSTAF responsibility for overall coordination of the five major intelligence disciplines: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Measurements and Signals Intelligence (MASINT), and Counterintelligence (CI) and Security Countermeasures.

Army Staff agency is responsible for intelligence, CI, HUMINT, and Intelligence automation, SIGINT, IMINT, censorship, threat validation, intelligence collection, security, meteorological, and topographic activities.

ODCSINT monitors Army intelligence training, force structure, and readiness for Active and Reserve Components. Formulates and justifies Army intelligence requirements in the National Foreign Intelligence Program (NFIP). Is the single point of contact between HQDA and foreign military personnel in the United States. ODCSINT supervises Army current and estimative foreign, and threat intelligence production, analyses, and dissemination activities.
