Questions and Answers

Question: Will the government provide a copy of the Manufacturing Development Guide in the reading room or provide the offerors with individual copies?

Answer: The Manufacturing Development Guide is now in the reading room.

Question: There is a difference in the soft copy RFP and the printed copy of the RFP released at the bidder's briefing. In Section L. Technical Volume, (2) (i) the statement regarding open architecture appears in the soft copy only. Please advise which document takes precedence.

Answer: The sentence: "The DU will be open, modular, and scaleable in accordance with the JASA Standards Handbook" was inadvertently omitted from the printed copy of the RFP and does apply. This does not constitute a change in requirements.

Question: Is the listing of documents in the HBSS reading room up-to-date? Will it be updated on a regular basis?

Answer: The listing provided at the bidder's briefing was current at that time. Updates to the listing will appear on the PIXS as necessary.

Additional Information:

1. An RFP amendment is being issued revising the language in Section L. page 78 "RFP CROSS REFERENCE MATRIX". This amendment is expected to be sent "overnite" 23 June 97 along with the soft copy of the unclassified Section L Cross Reference Matrix. The classified SRD Cross Reference Matrix is currently available for pick up by prospective offerors or will be sent by Air Force courier per offeror instruction.

2. The Past Performance Questionnaires (Enclosure 6B) are to be sent to the following address upon completion:

3. The enhancements identified in SRD paragraphs 3.2.1.18.1.1 (Reconfigurability), and 3.4.2.1 (Common Processor) were inadvertently omitted from the summary listing of enhancements found in appendix D of the SRD and may also be considered by the offerors.
