1. Mission. The 402d Intelligence Squadron (402 IS) is an operational component of the 26th Intelligence Group (26 IG). It provides qualified and professional Air Force members to Bad Aibling Station, takes care of those members, their families, and the community, while meeting the needs of all its customers. The station performs information operations through multiple sources for national, theater, and tactical customers.

2. Command. The 402 IS Commander (402 IS/CC):

2.1. Is subordinate to the 26 IG/CC.

2.2. Supports the Bad Aibling Station Commander in the execution of the station mission.

3. Responsibilities. The 402 IS/CC.

3.1. Exercises command of the 402 IS personnel dispersed throughout Bad Aibling Station's divisions and sections.

3.2. Participates in Bad Aibling Station operations by providing personnel for focused collection and tailored services.

3.3. Provides for the care and training of assigned personnel.

3.4 Executes policies and directives of the 26 IG, 67th Intelligence Wing, and the Air Intelligence Agency.
