Notes:
Future CONOPs Development: We have hosted both Hunter and Pioneer UAV detachments and have successfully integrated both vehicles into several Navy/Marine Corps missions producing significant CONOPS lessons learned. We simulated CHBDL-ST, TCS, and JSIPS-N capabilities in order to accommodate initial CONOPS development and investigate the potential utility of UAVs. This year we will continue our UAV/C4I involvement with participation in the HAE UAV ACTD, CVW-1 TARPS CD demonstration, and UAV Elint sensor and jamming package work with the Air Force UAV Battle Lab. These increasingly sophisticated initiatives require an accompanying increase in the capability of the supporting C4I architecture, and we are rapidly approaching the point where NSAWC can no longer afford to simulate critical C4I systems such as CHBDL-ST, TCS, and JSIPS-N. Fallon is the site of five to six full expeditionary operations every year with scenarios that begin with MOOTW and end with theater wide strike warfare. We strongly support a coordinated effort to utilize the full potential of Fallon for the purpose of integrating UAVs and their supporting C4I architecture into fleet operations.
