HAE ACTD Project FY-99

• Objective: Explore USN capabilities & limitations to work with high data rate / large file imagery

• ER #1 (May 99): GBS Phase 1 into JSIPS-N and Local Area Network

• ER #3 (Oct 99): Requesting Direct Down Link via CHBDL-ST for T-3 data rate (45 Mbps)
  • This Level 2 capability is essential pre-requisite for required Level 3 and Level 4 access to HAEs
  • ACOM and USAF sponsors are resisting Level 2 access during ACTD

Navy TENCAP is sponsoring NSAWC’s participation in the HAE UAV ACTD Extended Range flights during April and October of 1999. The focus is how to deal with large, high data rate imagery files. Both direct and indirect (level 1 and 2) data receipt will be attempted.
