DESCRIPTION: THE AN/TSQ-190(V)1 (BOIP X030AB, LIN Z28562) COMMUNICATIONS CENTRAL SYSTEM IS AN INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION DISSEMINATION SYSTEM COMMONLY KNOWN AS TROJAN SPECIAL PURPOSE INTEGRATED REMOTE INTELLIGENCE TERMINAL (SPIRIT) II. THE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF A PRIMARY HMMWV SHELTER (PHS),CHASSIS MOUNTED ON A 10000 GVW HMMWV VARIANT. A SPARE EQUIPMENT AND MAINTENANCE SHELTER (SEM) CHASSIS MOUNTED ON A 10000 GVW HMMWV VARIANT. A MOBILE ANTENNA TRAILER MOUNTED PLATFORM (MAP) (3,750 LBS). THE SYSTEM ALSO CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING NON-LIN COMPONENTS: 10 KW TUNNEL MOUNTED GENERATOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL UNIT RED PROCESSING EQUIPMENT MULTIPLEXER, FULLY CARDED (DNE 2048AT-16) FIREBERD 6000M TEST SET TROJAN DIGITAL VOICE INSTRUMENT TSP-9100A TEMPEST FACSIMILE KIV-7 COMSEC DEVICE ANALYST WORKSTATION GROUP (AWG) UNIX WORKSTATION UNIX LAPTOP PRINTER (DNE 9030T) COLOR POSTSCRIPT PRINTER BLACK BASEBAND PROCESSING EQUIPMENT MOBILE ANTENNA PLATFORM (SILVER EAGLE HIGH MOBILITY TRAILER) B. CAPABILITIES: THE TROJAN SPIRIT II SYSTEM (V)1 INTEGRATES DATA TRANSFER, MULTIPLEX, ENCRYPTION, AND RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) TRANSMISSION EQUIPMENT IN TWO MOBILE PLATFORMS. THE SYSTEM PROVIDES C AND KU BAND COMMERCIAL SATELLITE CAPABILITIES. A MOBILE RADIO TELEPHONE (MRT) (DIGITAL CELLULAR RADIO/INMARSAT-M TERMINAL) IS PROVIDED TO ASSIST IN COORDINATING LINK ESTABLISHMENT AND SYSTEM LINEUPS. C. EMPLOYMENT: THE TROJAN SPIRIT II SYSTEM (V)1 WILL BE DEPLOYED TO SELECT ECHELONS CORPS AND BELOW (ECB) ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE REALTIME INTELLIGENCE TASKING, DISSEMINATION, AND VERTICAL/HORIZONTAL REPORTING. D. BASIS OF ISSUE: 1 PER SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS TEAM IN THE ACE (ANALYSIS AND CONTROL COMPANY), MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BATTALION (OPERATIONS) (CORPS). 3 PER TAC CP SECTION, CORPS TOC SUPPORT COMPANY (ABN) MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BATTALION (OPS), AIRBORNE CORPS. E. POWER REQUIREMENTS: 120/208 VAC, 3 PHASE, 60 HZ AT 10 KW. F. TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS: THIS SYSTEM REQUIRES TWO HEAVY VARIANT HMMWVS (10000 GVW) TO CARRY THE TWO LMSS, AND PULL THE "C AND KU BAND" TRAILER, WHICH ARE COMPONENTS TO THE SYSTEM. G. PERSONNEL/MAINTENANCE IMPACTS: (1) OPERATORS: THREE 98C PER SYSTEM. (2) MAINTAINERS: (A) UNIT LEVEL MAINTENANCE: 33T (B) DS LEVEL MAINTENANCE: CONTRACTOR (C) GS LEVEL MAINTENANCE: CONTRACTOR H. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. THIS ITEM IS APPROPRIATE FOR PUBLICATION IN AR 71-13. 2. THE AC GENERATORS OF EACH LIGHTWEIGHT MULTIPURPOSE SHELTER (LMS) ARE SIZED TO SUPPORT THE POWER REQUIREMENTS OF THE DEPLOYED SYSTEM. AN UNDER-THE-HOOD POWER SOURCE AND INVERTER ARE PROVIDED AS AN ALTERNATE MEANS TO POWER THE MISSION EQUIPMENT AND LIGHTS FOR A LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME. EXTERNAL CONNECTIVITY IS PROVIDED SO THE SYSTEM CAN BE POWERED BY AN AUXILIARY POWER SOURCE, EITHER TACTICAL GENERATORS OR COMMERCIAL POWER. 3. THE TWO HEAVY HMMWVs ARE COMPONENT ITEMS TO THE TROJAN SPIRIT.
