FASTLANE
The NSA FASTLANE Asynchronous Transfer Mode [ATM] cell based encryption implementation is in a prototype stage believed to be using a high speed DES crypto engine. This prototype was scheduled for release July/August 1996 though there were doubts about the stated delivery schedules.
