The SUCCESS UHF radio is a fully automated microprocessor based, computer-controlled
UHF radio. Data may be transmitted and received simultaneously over its one transmit and
three receive channels. Two SUCCESS radios may be stacked to provide an integrated, fully
redundant, two transmit and six receive channel capability. The radio is designed to
communicate with selected airborne, terrestrial, and satellite systems. It contains a Tactical Receive Equipment (TRE) processor and can process up to four simultaneous TRAP and TADIXS-B formatted transmissions. The system is
designed for ground or mobile sheltered environments. The DIA accredited communication
subsystem is compatible with TROJAN, MSE, DIN or DSSCS, as well as all Tactical
Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) systems. SUCCESS is interoperable with a wide range of existing UHF radios and meets JCS requirements
for FLTSATCOM interoperability.
Developed for the US Army and Air Force, and fielded in numerous tactical electronic systems such as the
AN/TSQ-134 (V) EPDS, SUCCESS provided the round-the-clock, critical communications performance
needed during Operations Just Cause and Desert Storm.
