Aerial Imagery Reconnaissance Tracking and Plotting System [AIRTAPS]
Aerial Imagery Reconnaissance Tracking and Plotting System [AIRTAPS] is used to produce overlays of mission track and frames on a map background. Imagery is annotated with aircraft location and altitude parameters. Products are used to perform mission assessment,
exploitation management and provide support exploiting imagery analysts. AIRTAPS automates a previously time consuming manual process.
The DoD is in the process of establishing a simplified baseline of the best, common
information systems across the business functions of the Department. These migration systems represent a
stage of process improvement designed at achieving a common set of automated processes and practices in
DoD.
