In-Line Network Encryptors (INEs) are end-to-end data encryption devices which provide data confidentiality and integrity across LANs and Wide Area Networks (WANs). INEs are typically located at the boundary of secure enclaves and an external network. INEs are planned to be implemented within the DoN to support the classified implementation of DMS.
