POC| Acquisition Authority | Contract Information | Cost | COMSEC Equipment Validation Information Access DESCRIPTION/FUNCTION The Multi-Mission Advanced Tactical Terminal (MATT) is a miniaturized, airborne-qualified, ultra high frequency (UHF) receiver (with an embedded cryptographic core) providing near-real-time, over-the-horizon threat data directly to the warfighter at the SECRET level. This information enables airborne, fixed-site, and mobile MATT users to counter the threat through improved mission planning, threat warning during mission execution, and retargeting. MATT features modules for embedded decryption, message processing, tactical data processing, and multiple external interfaces. An onboard correlation module provides the ability to associate and track known or unknown moving targets. MATT is capable of simultaneously receiving and processing intelligence reports from the Tactical Receive Equipment and Related Applications (TRAP), Tactical Data Exchange System Broadcast (TADIX-B), and Tactical Information Broadcast Service (TIBS). The MATT comes in a 3/4 Air Transportable Rack (ATR) Long System or a briefcase configuration. Typical applications include P-3C, E-2C, EA-6B, F/A-18, F-15, MH-53, C-130, and ground vehicles. The MATT is an UNCLASSIFIED controlled cryptographic item (CCI) when unkeyed and unprogrammed. When keyed its classification equals that of the key installed.
The MATT contains the embedded communications security (COMSEC) devices KGV-25, KGV-26, and KGV-113. CHARACTERISTICS National Security Agency (NSA) has determined that this product does not process, store, or utilize a date in its operations.
