Directorate of Enforcement

The Central Government of India has always felt the need to conserve the foreign exchange resources of developing economy like India. Hence the Directorate of Enforcement was established as a specialised agency with the responsibility to enforce the provisions of the basic Exchange Control Law of India, namely, the Foreign Exchange Regulations Act, 1973
