SSV Bal'zam
The 4,900 ton Project 1826 'BAL'ZAM' (Aziya) class SSV [Sudno Svyazyy = Communications Vessel] were the first custom-designed electronic surveillance ships. Previous ships used for this mission were converted large "factory" trawlers.
