Candidates include arteether (parenteral treatment of severe drug resistant malaria), FY96; topical paromomycin/gentamicin (cutaneous leishmaniasis treatment), FY96; Floxacrine analog (malaria treatment), FY98; atovoquone-proguanil (malaria prophylaxis), FY97; artemisinin analog (malaria prophylaxis), FY01.
