General

Current operations cell tracks the current events as they occur by measuring friendly and enemy performance in terms of combat power as a basis for analysis of the success or failure of current operations and potential for success at the next critical event and ability to perform future operations.

Specific Coordination

Supported Command Inputs to Current Operations Cell:  Next higher level intelligence collection.  Next higher headquarters fires effects.  Information on the status of forces outside of the current operations cells area of operation.

Staff inputs from within the EAC: Each staff section provides status of those assets of significant importance to the current operation to the current operations cell.   Example J4 would not provide current status of on hand class V during a humanitarian operation, but would provide current status of relevant to the operation information of lift capacity on hand.

Current Operations Cell products include:  Current status of all assets being or will be committed to the current operation.  Accomplishment, in terms of friendly and enemy combat power, of each critical event, decisive point and objective of the mission.   Potential of the current force to achieve success or failure of the next critical event, decisive point or objective.
