General

The Plans Cell serves as the fundamental planning staff for the EAC headquarters.   Its focus is 96 hours plus in advance of the conduct of operations.  It will also provide the personnel for the JPG executing the CAP process. 

The cell is composition is flexible and reflects the EAC's staff and subordinate unit structure.  All staff sections and subordinate unit planners or plans liaison are members of the J5 Plans Cell.  During peace time this cell conducts contingency planning and works closely with the JTT to develop simulations that support contingency operations training.
