Title: Army TACMS Block IA
Dialogue: The ATACMS Block IA is a product improvement of the ATACMS Block I. Experience from Operation Desert Storm confirmed the need to defeat time critical targets at ranges beyond the capabilities of ATACMS Block I. The Block IA ranges targets from 70-300 km and carries a payload of 300 M74 APAM submunitions. Improved accuracy is achieved through an improved guidance system that uses information from the global positioning system satellites. The ATACMS Block IA will be fired from the M270A1 Launcher.
