Title: MLRS Battery Logistics
Dialogue: The center of logistics for the battery is the logistics operations center (LOC). The LOC may be co-located with the BOC or they may be separated by several kilometers. Operating both the BOC and LOC from the same position facilitates internal coordination and may provide enough assets for a perimeter defense. Separating the elements enhances survivability from indirect fire, allows positioning of the BOC to ease communications, and positioning of the LOC to facilitate logistics coordination and resupply of the platoons.
