Title: Command Relationships
Dialogue: MLRS battalions are organic to the corps. There are numerous options for the commander in establishing the command relationship(s). The three options described here are the most common.
Option 1: The corps commander retains direct control of the MLRS battalion (GS).
Option 2: The corps commander attaches the MLRS battalion to a FA brigade (GS sometimes GSR).
Option 3: The corps commander allocates all or some of the MLRS units to the division (GSR/R).
