- Lethality: The ability of a system to detect, identify, engage and destroy an opposing enemy system.
- Survivability: The ability of a system and its crew to resist detection, identification, engagement and destruction by an opposing system.
- Battlefield Mobility: The ability of a system to move tactically in various types of terrain and environmental conditions.
- Air Deployability: The ability of a system to be moved by and/or parachuted from air platforms.
- Sustainability: The durability of a system and its ability to be repaired, fueled and armed.
- MANPRINT: The ease of which a trained soldier can effectively and safely operate a given system, and the ability of Army branches to assess, train and retain soldiers.
