This Experimental Forces (EXFOR) Special Text (XST) is designed to capture division multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) battalion lessons learned from the Army's Division Advanced Warfighting Experiment (DAWE). It represents a continuing process in developing digital tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) for our future division MLRS battalions. It provides the digitized units a document to work with as they continue their transition to a Force XXI structure. It must be used in conjunction with other doctrinal publications.

This special text should be viewed as a starting point for leveraging new capabilities provided by the division MLRS battalion in order to fight and win in combined arms operations. XST 6-60 is a living document that will continue to evolve as we gain further post-DAWE experience. Ultimately, Field Manual (FM) 6-60, Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Operations will incorporate the TTP for division MLRS battalions.
