AN/WSN-5 Inertial Navigation Set

The Inertial Navigation Set (INS) AN/WSN-5 is a self-contained unit that employs an accelerometer-controlled, three-axis gyro stabilized platform to provide ownship's heading, roll, pitch, velocity north, and velocity east data in dual speed synchro format. The AN/WSN-5 also provides continuous and automatic digital data outputs of ownship's geographic position, horizontal/vertical linear inertial velocity components, and angle magnitude and angle rate information of ownship's heading, roll, and pitch. The AN/WSN-5 is capable of operating at dockside and at sea at all latitudes.
