Tomahawk Cruise Missiles to be Remanufactured
The Program Executive Office for Cruise Missiles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles announced today the award of a major contract modification, on a non-competitive basis, to Raytheon Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, allowing for the ordering of the remanufacture and related support of up to 624 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles to the Block III configuration. The modification to contract N00019-99-D-1016 is valued at up to $414,000,000.
Of the 624 missiles to be remanufactured, 200 are Tomahawk Anti-Ship Missiles and 424 are Block II. Missile deliveries could begin as early as 14 months after contract award but deliveries are required to begin no later than May 2001. Average time to remanufacture a missile is 120 days.
Subcontracts to Raytheon Missile Systems Company for this effort are Williams International (Walled Lake, Michigan and Ogden, Utah); Lockheed Martin (Akron, Ohio); Rockwell Collins (Cedar Rapids, Iowa); Litton (Salt Lake City, Utah); Honeywell (Minneapolis, Minnesota); and Atlantic Research Corporation (Camden, Arkansas).
