This report presents a history of the Department of Defense aircraft hangar construction program, and includes the findings of a national-scale hangar inventory survey of U.S. military installations. The studies were conducted by the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) for the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command. This report is available only in PDF form; no paper copies will be printed or distributed. The document is posted as separate files in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), with one file corresponding to each of the chapters and appendices. Click on a hyperlink to the right to download the associated PDF file or view it online (subject to the capabilities of your web browser). Note that the standard hangar architectural drawings (Appendix B) are not yet available in electronic form. Appendix B will be posted as a PDF file as soon as the drawings have been digitized.
