IRAN MAY BE CLOSE TO NUCLEAR BOMB ISRAEL LINE THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 1997 The Jane's Intelligence Review, a well-known British journal, has concluded that Iran is very close to developing a nuclear weapon, MA'ARIV reported. The report anticipates that Iran will achieve nuclear capabilities within four months. According to the journal, unless Western countries stop the transfer of highly-enriched uranium to Iran, "the Iranian spiritual leaders will be capable of implementing their 'atomic revolution' in the very near future." The report also said that, in the early 1990's, Iraq was on the verge of developing its first nuclear weapon, but was set back by its loss in the Gulf War. ISRAEL LINE
