MOSCOW AGAIN CALLS FOR BOMBING HALT IN IRAQ. The Russian
Foreign Ministry on 10 January issued a statement repeating
Moscow's call for the United States and Great Britain to end
the bombing of Iraq, Interfax reported. The statement said
that the continuation of the bombing "not only increases the
number of innocent victims among the civilian poulation but
also to a remarkable degree makes more complicated the
process of finding a political settlement." It noted that
American and British planes had entered the airspace of Iraq
11,065 times in 2000. PG
