RUSSIAN NUCLEAR MISSILE SHIELD REINFORCED BY ONE REGIMENT

On the eve of the New Year, the strategic missile troops have adopted one more regiment modernised with the new missile complex RS-12M "Topol". According to General Igor Sergeev, the commander-in-chief of the missile troops, now the nuclear missile shield of Russia has been reinforced by one more regiment armed with ground-based mobile rocket complexes with inter-continental mono-unit ballistic missiles.

Judging by a special press-release of the missile troops, the stationary mobile missile complex (SS-25) is rightly considered to be a unique one incorporating the advanced achievements of Russian missile-building. It enables our missile troops to continue contributing to the Russian potential of nuclear deterrence, to be a key guarantor of national security and strategic stability on the world scene. (kol/lnv).
