START: TREATY LIMITED ITEMS

The START Treaty sets forth limits for Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) and their associated launchers and warheads; Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBMs) launchers and warheads; and heavy bombers and their armaments including Long-Range Nuclear Air-Launched Cruise Missiles (LRNAs). The existing types of these items for the US and Soviet Union are described below.
