Tabriz
38°04'48"N 46°17'31"E

According to reports published in Russia, apparently based on information developed by the Russian Federal Security Service, facilities located at "Tebria" are involved in the production of "unguided missiles of SKUD-S modification."

It will come as no surprise that the NIMA GEOnet Names Server (GNS) is unware of the "Tebria" placename. A search on "Teb*" discloses only four returns, and the only one that shows any promise is "Tebriz: see Tabriz" which is about as far as we can take this one at this point in time.

Tabriz has also been reported as a possible site of a nuclear weapons research facility of unspecified nature and provenance.

As of 11 April 2000 Russian 2-meter resolution KVR-1000 imagery coverage was not available via the SPIN-2 service on TerraServer, nor was archived Space Imaging IKONOS 1-meter imagery of this facility available on the CARTERRA™ Archive.
