Aqaba Establishment

The Aqaba Establishment was established in 1986 and was responsible for Project 400 and Project 600 (both facilities involved in the weaponization of Iraqi biological warfare (BW) agents). The Aqaba Establishment was located south of Baghdad west of highway 8, and two kilometers (km) north of the Badr Establishment. The facility was approximately two km from the main highway. A cluster bomb factory was located nearby.
