The United States has a large biodefense infrastucture across many different government agencies, which seeks to reduce the risks associated with a potential attack using biological weapons.
Dr. Matthew Meselson, a renowned expert in chemical and biological defense and arms control, discussed the need for increased oversight of U.S. biodefense research and the benefits this could provide to the international community.
