Biography
Ryan Snyder joined FAS in January of 2012 as a Fellow for Energy Studies.
He comes to FAS after a previous life as a physicist. In graduate school, he was part of a research collaboration at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility that used parity-violating electron scattering to measure the strange-quark content of the nucleon.
He has taught physics in the Washington, D.C., public school system and is currently an adjunct lecturer in physics at American University.
He holds a Ph.D. in nuclear and particle physics from the University of Virginia and B.A. in physics from Kenyon College.
