Missile Watch Sponsorship

The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) is excited to launch a new initiative called the Missile Watch Sponsorship Program, aimed at expanding Missile Watch and ensuring its long-term viability. As you know, Missile Watch tracks the illicit proliferation and use of shoulder-fired, surface-to-air missiles and international efforts to combat this threat.

As the only publication dedicated exclusively to tracking illicit activity involving MANPADS, Missile Watch plays a unique role in documenting, assessing, and contextualizing developments in the MANPADS threat and global efforts to combat it. The Missile Watch service is resource-intensive, and relies on the generosity of Sponsors.

Your support will allow FAS to strengthen Missile Watch by:

  • Expanding access to court documents and other untapped data sources.
  • Improving our ability to assess the technical authenticity of online videos and photographs of illicit MANPADS.
  • Increasing and diversifying our sources through the translation of more foreign language documents.
  • Broadening our coverage to include other advanced conventional weapons.

Please become a Missile Watch Sponsor today for only $25 by filling out the form here.

All Sponsors will receive pre-publication access to each issue of Missile Watch one full week before it is made available to the public on FAS.org. Sponsors who contribute $100 or more will also receive a signed copy of the Small Arms Trade. Called "indispensible" by Foreign Policy Editor Moises Naim, the Small Arms Trade features a four-chapter history of the MANPADS threat and global efforts to control it.

Thank you for your help in educating policy makers, the press, and the public with world class analysis of the terrorist missile threat and other critical international security issues.

Please make sure to select "Missile Watch Sponsorship" from the drop down menu that reads "Please Direct My Donation To."
