CESAR

Alenia Spazio is also designing a small, free-flyer platform which could be used for geophysics experiments. One mission under consideration is the Central European Satellite for Advanced Research (CESAR) which would investigate the magnetosphere, ionosphere, and thermosphere. Envisioned as a nearly 300 kg platform, the satellite would be placed in an elliptical orbit of 400 km by 1,000 km (Reference 56).
